I had the opportunity to follow a Textile Minor at the Design Academy for six months. Through this minor, I have gained a lot of (basic) knowledge by executing an hands-on approach.
Four times I had the possibility to work at the Textile Museum in Tilburg on two different techniques. One of the techniques I chose was embroidery.
While exploring the world of embroidery, I came up (together with my then working partner Lelya Kimel) with the concept to try and integrate the fluidity of watercoloring in this centuries old technique.
These samples are a work in progress, Lelya & I worked in a experimental manner and free of reaching a very specific goal.
